After reaching Thimphu, check into your hotel and relax. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the local market or take a short walk around the city.

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Bhutan’s capital. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a peaceful site of daily prayers for locals. Continue to the Buddha Dordenma Statue, offering stunning panoramic views of the valley.
Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Thimphu, followed by a stop at the Bhutan Post Office where you can create personalized stamps.
In the afternoon, explore the National Institute for Zorig Chusum to see Bhutan’s traditional arts, and later visit the grand Tashichho Dzong. End the day at the lively Centenary Farmers Market.

After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,050 m), known for its 108 chortens and spectacular Himalayan views.
On arrival, visit Chimi Lhakhang, a sacred temple associated with fertility blessings. Later, explore the beautiful Punakha Dzong, located at the meeting point of two rivers, and walk across the famous Punakha Suspension Bridge.

Drive to the scenic Phobjikha Valley, a peaceful glacial valley surrounded by forests and mountains. This area is known as the winter habitat of the rare black-necked cranes.
Enjoy a walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail, passing through villages, meadows, and pine forests. Visit Gangtey Monastery, an important religious site overlooking the valley.
